The story embraces all things South African, the bustling, vibrant Grey Street Markets, the picturesque' Indians' only beaches, traditional South African cuisine and Apartheid related issues. The author's vivid descriptions of sights, sounds and tastes unique to South Africa, transported me back to a time I could connect strongly with. The actions and thoughts develop the characters well, and I began to recollect fond memories of my own grandmother also warmly referred to as Nani in Hindi.
This is Roshni Reddy's first book and she weaves a distinctively South African tale which makes entertaining reading."

Jenita is a nostalgic walk down memory lane because the book so vividly captures the unique spirit of a country with its many facets of everyday life experiences. Although Jenita is essentially a South African love story, it presents a kaleidoscope of contrasts, a richness in social and cultural diversity, and an amazing wonder of nature's beauty. Readers are also reminded of God's love and grace for His children, and the hope that we have in Jesus Christ. A must read for all!"

The storyline is really interesting and the book portrays different episodes from the South African apartheid era very well. Reading is easy which makes the book difficult to put away.

Nostalgic memories of an era in verdant Natal beautifully portrayed. A time of innocence set to the beat of zulu drums.
